Humus was born during the COVID pandemic in a small shed in the Netherlands.

While facing burnout from office work, I found solace and healing in working with clay, a medium that brought a tactile connection to nature and creativity.

The name 'Humus', derived from the Latin for 'organic soil' or 'ground', reflects the core of our brand: a connection to the earth and the human experience.
