Beginner Pottery Wheel Throwing Course – One-on-One Guidance
Dive into the art of wheel throwing in this personalized 5-week beginner course, designed for those who are new to pottery and eager to get their hands dirty.
Each week, you’ll enjoy a 2-hour private lesson in my cozy studio, where you’ll have my full attention and guidance. With only one pottery wheel, this course is completely one-on-one, meaning every moment is tailored to your pace, your questions, and your progress.
Over the course of five lessons, you’ll learn the foundational techniques of wheel throwing:
- Centering and shaping clay
- Pulling walls and forming cylinders
- Creating bowls, cups, and more
- Trimming, finishing, and preparing for firing
Firing & Glazing Details:
The course includes the firing of up to 5 finished pieces, glazed in a classic transparent glaze.
If you create more than 5 pieces, you’re welcome to keep and fire them, we will simply weigh the extras and calculate a small additional fee based on material and kiln costs.
Want to explore glazes? You can opt to glaze your pieces using the 25 different glazes I use for my own work for an additional €30, which gives you full access to the glaze palette.
Price: €250 for 5 sessions (10 hours total)
All basic materials, tools, and the firing of up to 5 pieces are included.
Whether you’re looking to try something new, find a creative outlet, or start a new hobby, this course offers a supportive, peaceful space to begin.
